Score Your Favorite Prime Pet Needs

Oct 13th and 14th are Amazon Prime Day, and there are some great deals for pet lovers. We can finally get a break on some of the pricier things that keep our pet-friendly homes in shape. Here is a breakdown of everything you need for your pet on Amazon Prime Day.

Here are a few tips:

First, you need to be a prime member. It’s something to consider signing up for if you are not already taking advantage of their free shipping and streaming.

Download and sign up for alerts on the Amazon app. It will send you notifications when there is a deal with something from your wishlist. As a bonus, in the past, there have been deals available on the app that are not available on the desktop.

Click on the “Get Ready For Prime Day” banner to sign up. It will feed you suggestions based on your searches, and it will suggest options to follow. Make sure you turn on the push notifications on your phone. Lightning deals have limited availability, so you only have about 20 minutes to scoop up the deal.

Don’t forget to comparison shop. Target and other retailers also got the memo on Prime day and will likely provide some competitive pricing. Chewy is having their blue box event from 10/11-10/14.

Vacuums

We have four vacuums in our home. We do not mess around with four fur-kids. I love our Dyson stick vac. It always felt out of our price range, but we snagged it for almost half-price at Macy’s sale a few years ago. It is a game-changer for easy daily clean-up.

We also have a Shark Navigator for deep cleaning, a stationary eye-vac for daily sweep ups, and a Euphy robot vacuum. I am not personally in love with the robot vac. Read my rant here, but they are consistently a highlight for prime day.

Humidifiers

Humidifiers are another must-have for us. We have two and should probably grab one more. Our fave is the Levoit. Prime Day is a great time to pick one up or some extra filters. Regularly changing the filters is key.

Home Cameras

The Furbo is a home camera that allows you to keep an eye out on your pet while you are away. You can even give them a treat remotely. Prime Day is a great time to pick one up. Thinking ahead to the holidays this is a really fun gift for a fur-mom or fur-dad who loves to stay in contact with their pup.

If you have multiple dogs, remote treats may trigger food aggression issues. We have three dogs so we use a Nest cam to keep an eye out on our pets. We don’t use it every day, mostly because we both work from home, but the Nest has really saved us on a few occasions. If your pup isn’t feeling well, it’s easy to set up so you can keep an eye on them if you need to head out.

It has a motion detector that sends you an alert when movement is detected. A few years ago our pipes froze. We ended up having to stay at a friend’s house but we were worried when the water came back on there would be a flood. We opened the kitchen faucet and set the Nest next to it. When the water came back on it triggered the Nest which sent us a notification so we could be home in a snap. It certainly earned its keep that day.

Coupons

There is a coupon section for pet-products you can find here. I found coupons for some of our favorite products here like Scout and Mort’s Rabbit-Roo harness.

We have been shopping for a water fountain to entice our cat Lottie to drink more water. We are considering this Epicka Sprout Fountain.

Good Luck out there! I hope you score some pet-friendly deals. Let us know what you get in the comments below!
